As previously said, the Leoncino 500 had zero miles when I got it, so I followed break-in procedures and kept the RPMs low at first, which wasn’t easy because the bike has the short gear. As the kilometres piled up, I explored the tachometer’s further northern reaches.
The 499.6cc P-twin is a revvy yet smooth machine. There was a lot of shifter dancing with the Leoncino due to the short gearing, but the engine appeared content to troll around town and pull from low RPMs at tall speeds without complaint or bogging.
