The X7 xDrive40i features a 375-hp turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine, while the M60i has a 523-horsepower twin-turbo 4.4-litre V-8. The V-8 in the Alpina XB7 has been carefully modified to produce 630 horsepower. All three engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Every X7 is equipped with air suspension with adjustable dampers, and the chassis may be further improved with rear-axle steering and active anti-roll bars that limit body motions. Both functions are standard on the M60i, which comes standard with a sportier suspension setup.
