With the exception of the two least costly versions, the hybrid powertrain has become a more important feature of the Accord portfolio for this current generation. Exterior

The LX and EX models of the Accord are powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 192 horsepower and drives the front wheels via a CVT. The Accord 2023, like previous versions, does not have an all-wheel drive. The hybrid powertrain is now more prominent in the portfolio. It has 204 horsepower and is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. It is the only powertrain available on Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring variants.

Honda claims that it has improved the suspension and steering in its family sedan to improve the ride quality and handling, but during our brief test drive in a pre-production hybrid example, we couldn’t notice much difference from the previous-generation model. That’s great because the 2023 Accord remains as elegant and enjoyable to drive as ever. The Accord’s cabin, like its exterior, has a streamlined design with components derived from the latest modern Hondas that help tie them together with familial DNA.
