A little touchscreen may not seem like much, but it removes the ES’s major flaw: the lack of a camera. Before the touchscreen, the primary controller, the touchpad, was extremely difficult to operate while driving, taking more steps than merely touching a screen, and it moved and activated in an inconsistent manner.
If you liked the touchpad controller (and I say “you,” singular, because I believe there are a lot of you), know that it will be around for a while. The backup camera and 360-degree camera system displays are still in need of upgrading. The 360-degree camera system display lacks clarity, and its visuals spread unnaturally across the screen, despite the high-quality native graphics.
