Interior

The dual-tone dashboard is very appealing. It’s basic, clean, and plush-looking. Yes, the enormous display panel is Mercedes-inspired, but it gives the cabin a more upscale air and will undoubtedly make salespeople’s work easier. With white seats (good luck keeping them clean), wide windows, and a panoramic sunroof, the inside feels light and spacious.

On the dashboard, there are no soft-touch plastics. A soft, white leather-clad crashpad, on the other hand, extends the length of the dashboard and adds a great contrast to the design. On the dashboard, there are also brushed silver and piano black pieces that go well with the white. We didn’t like the door pads because they were all black with white imitation wood inlays. The plastics are of ordinary grade, and the fit and finish are satisfactory. There are large gaps in spots, but they are uniform, and there are some rough edges as well. When it comes to plastic quality and fit, this isn’t a Hyundai or a Kia. Overall, the cabin quality is decent, but nothing to write home about.

When you look at the XUV700, you can’t help but think of the XUV500. The SUV has been suitably altered by Mahindra, and it looks nice. Even though it has been significantly redesigned, we believe it is based on the same platform. However, Mahindra insists that it is a completely new platform. The whole design appears pleasant, and you can bet the general public will adore it. However, several features, such as the large headlight clusters and the odd radiator grille design, will undoubtedly divide opinion.
